Booch Poo

The whole point of me making the Kombucha was to be able to mix it with beer eventually. All my kombucha is made the same way except that I change the tea. I ordered a whole lot of tea’s, some of which I didn’t know about and like this time one I can’t even pronounce, Pu-Erh.

500 ml Hot Water Water
100g White Sugar Carbohydrate
3 liter Cold Water Water
1 SCOBY Yeast


  1. Added hot water to Pyrex measuring jug
  2. Added Earl Grey to water and steep for 5 minutes
  3. Added the cold water to jar and added sugar, stirring it vigorously to dissolve the sugar
  4. Strained the tea into the syrup mix
  5. Added the SCOBY along with 2 cups of kombucha from previous batch

Fermentation and Bottling

  1. 13/02/16: Stared fermentation
  2. 23/02/16: Bottled with 25g of Grape Sugar for the whole batch
    • 3x 1.25l bottles plain
  3. 07/03/16: Tasting Notes
